Well girls - you all know things change.....I am waiting on making a very big change. I was forced out of a job recently because they didn't think I was a good fit. What does that mean - they didn't like your personality? Anyway - I just had a huge door open up and want some feedback. HOGFEST
HOGFEST - okay so maybe the name raises and eyebrow - but I had a great time at the fundraiser at the Plantation in Moscow Idaho today - we have a gal who lost her dad to cancer - and she just went all out and founded HOGFEST to raise funds for the Cancer Resource Center at Gritman Medical Center.
Music, Vendors, Rib Cook off......OH I wanted to "review" the ribs - but they ran out of plates before I was able to sneak away from my booth! BUT a friend and her daughter didn't like spicy so they handed them over to me - two ribs was GREAT - me = no sauce on the face - both of them = sauce all over.
The best sales of the day - SAVE THE HOOTERS shirts - we are so blessed to have had a great designer.
I will be posting shirts/sizes - and what you can do to help in the war against breast cancer.

We Have Contact!
Okay - so my husband has been chatting with me on Facebook tonight.
The first thing - "the food is amazing" they had "duck" on their first night! (phew - I am so happy cause I am
a pretty decent cooker - you have seen us right? - and I was afraid her wouldn't like the food)
It is a "work camp" situation and they have two guys to a room - he needs hangers which is a good sign there is a closet and decent space - I asked him to send pictures so it is more exciting! He will have a day off tomorrow which will be exciting - I hope he can get some rest! He also has the task of finding a church he might fit in with on Sundays. I know that he would like to have Grace, his 9 year old black lab with him - it would be a dream for the both of them - she is already being a little whine girl for her daddy.
Well I am tired - and we are chatting - so more tomorrow! Here is a picture of him pushing his mom last week at Dylan's graduation.

the worst thing you can do is NOT have a plan when you go to Trader Joes at 10 Minutes before they close.
I started out with Pizza Dough - herb/garlic and plan in my bag - then picked up the most cute little jar of pesto sauce. I knew I had all sorts of cheese at home - but what to drink? Well I felt rushed but nestled in-between their $2.49 bottles of Charles Shaw and overpriced designer soda's I found for $1.99 a two quart jar of low calorie Lemonade - made with organic lemon juice 40 calories per serving. It is delicious - really and hits the spot because it is warm here in Kirkland tonight.
Now I threw a few pieces of dough in the oven, maybe 1/8 of what the bags provided, and with the cheese and pesto have a very delicious evening snack. the outside so crunchy and flavorful - and the inside nice and chewy.
I ate a bowl of Oh's this afternoon if you must know - so I wasn't too hungry.
Now I am fighting the urge to head back down to Kirkland Park Place to get a

So today my husband started working in Barrow Alaska - very most northern city in the USA.
looking online - pictures are amazing - the weather extreme. Extreme cold. Now for this girl - 24 hours of sunSHINE seems like a wonderful idea - but 24 hours of dark - doesn't sound so fun!
So the question now is - no cell service - how does he have wi-fi on his cell but no cell tower?
curious eh? I am excited to start blogging and posting about his adventures and my adventures in Alaska!
In the meantime - it is going to be a fun time blogging, sharing Pink Papaya, and interviewing people - trying new experiences I might have never done at a traditional job!

New Friend
So there is something to be said about being transparent. If you listen to people's stories - we will find more in common than those differences. I met a really neat gal today at Starbucks - there was no inside seating - and she had the cutest baby with her - and a dog that was darling too. She is an oncology nurse, and so we connected. Are our meeting by chance encounters? I highly doubt it!
This week I am being intentional about two things...... making real friends, and sharing about women of faith events! The second is a product close to my heart because of it's health reasons - Pink Papaya - 100% made in the USA botanical and natural spa products. They are so yummy!
Now about getting serious about being intentional - do you think I had ONE business card on me as I roamed the malls today - NOPE - but I will stay up tonight - making stickers for catalogs - just so I can hand some out.
Thanks to Vista Print for their great service - I just had to get to Kirkland to see my babies!

it's the think about being average - ordinary - really there is just nothing too exciting except for the outcome based on blessings. I have often in my life really made some poor decision - but I am still here.....still pressing on - our life is just a moment in time (oh I sound like a song)
do you ever wonder if your heart will ever catch up with your idea of love? or is it the other way around? will my head ever slow down enough to really LOVE those around me.....

KIRKLAND!
It is Wednesday and I haven't adventured outdoors yet today since I made an "epic" journey across snoqualime pass around 1:30 AM. There have a bunch of new lighted posts since they are doing construction - and with the wind I could just imagine them as runners - swooshing past me!
It is RAINING here - not our normal coastal rain - but windy rain - which doesn't suite me too well since I just got my hair cut and it is much better straight than curly - what was I thinking?
So it is off to Lovely Nails with my daughter Marlee - she is a senior - and times flies. Will give you an update of Shine Diva around town soon!
